Can You Spare Some Change?

If you find 'The Crossroads' to be a valuable resource, won't you please consider donating the price of a cup of coffee. The site will always be free to members but there is a cost to maintain and upgrade the site regularly. Also, updating and adding data talks many hours and sometime, long nights. With your help, I can continue to upgrade the site with more and better resources to help in Hinson resesarch. Thank you!

Site Updates

04-13-2012 Added the ability for users to add a profile image.

04-09-2012 Added the ability for members to include images with comments to posts.

04-04-2012 Upgraded software to fix numerous small bugs

03-28-2012 Added "Blog" link to menu bar on family tree to make it easier to return to main (this) page.

03-26-2012 Removed the necessity for logging in on main page. Determined that it was not necessary. Only login required is when you visit the family tree.

03-14-2012 Added Photo/Document tab to menu bar (see instructions)
This allows members who are visiting a page to submit photos of that individual directly to me and tells me where the image goes. I can then add that image to the tree. Members with 'editor' access can add the image directly.

Working on site for past two weeks.

Setup subscription field for newsletter

Worked on the design of the site to get both the blog and the famiy tree to look the same. Getting there but still some work to do.

Found a name that links into the Hinson, Crutchfield and Williams lines of our site. Today, I added 395 families, 1422 individuals, 81 sources plus more. Check the "What's New" tab on the tree home page.

Fixed the problem with double sign-in temporarily. Only those who are signed in can see the 'Family Tree' tab.
Once signed in, the tree can be accessed without additional sign-in.

Tree seems really slow right now and I am working hard to speed it up a bit.

So far, nothing has been done to correct the problem with the plugin so I've disabled the plugin completely. What this means to members is that you will have to sign in to the site and then when you go to the Family Tree, you will need to sign in again. I am sorry for the inconvenience and am working hard to find a solution.

While working on site, noticed that I did not have to sign in to access tree. Started working to figure out what I had done wrong

After two or three days of pulling hair and consulting with the folks who programmed the Family Tree program and one of the guru's at this type stuff, it was determined that it was a problem with the plugin that needs to be corrected.
