Nellie Hinson
Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007 — Nellie Kepley Hinson, 86, of 12023 Old Aquadale Road, Norwood, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, in N.C. Lutheran Homes.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Aquadale Baptist Church, where she was a member. The Rev. Jeff Whitecotton will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church, prior to the service.
Born June 5, 1920, in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late Henry Lee and Ellen Johnson Kepley and was a graduate of Aquadale High School. She was a retired assembler for Federal Pacific Electric and loved her flower and vegetable gardens. She took great joy in sharing with the church family, neighbors and friends. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
A grandson, Jamie Jeffcoat, and 10 brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Leamon Paul Hinson of the home; a son, Ted Paul Hinson of New Kent, Va.; two daughters, Kay Hinson Shaffer of Norwood and Ruth Hinson Williams of Apopka, Fla.; four grandchildren, Tony Jeffcoat, Dwayne Burris, Ashley and Tyler Hinson; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
